=========================================================================== ======== This is the "dictionary" of Lavapolis and Lavapolis 2 ( Lavapolis A ) tilesets. Here is the list of all Animating tiles and tiles which seems to be unuseful or wierd. =========================================================================== ======== For begining some important tips: TIPS #1: Read the mask information about tiles which need to be translucent and need to be put in layer 3 or 2. TIPS #2: Always start from left tile when you animate animating tiles sorted in horizontal way and start from the upper tile when you animate animating tiles sorted in vertical way. Ofcourse something like belts need to be animated from both sides to get right and left belts... =========================================================================== ======== -= Tile 1,1: Empty one like in every tileset, here is tileset's palette but you can't see it. -= Tiles 2,1-4,1: flat surface for walking (height=1) everyone is a bit different from other -= Tile 5,1: Left corner which connects flat surface for walking (height=1) with left end of ground -= Tile 6,1: Surface with ground on the bottom -= Tile 7,1: Right corner which connects flat surface for walking (height=1) with left end of ground -= Tiles 8,1-10,1 & 5,2-7,2 surface with ground with left and right endings (both are a bit different) -= Tiles 3,8-4,8 & 3,9-4,9: Wierd tiles , you can say that this looks ugly but this is my secret symbol :] There is an ancient sun drawn on it. -= Tiles 9,8-9,11 & 10,8-10,11: Tiles used for layer 3 with the cave entrance tiles (7,8-8,11 & 7,8-8,11) -= Tiles 1,10-6,10: ANIMATION TILES, start the animation from left tile. I recomend you to check the ping-pong motion and choose animation speed=1. This animation is used for desapearing stones. -= Tiles 1,11-6,11: ANIMATION TILES, start the animation from left tile. I recomend you to check the ping-pong motion and choose animation speed=1. This animation is used for desapearing stones. -= Tile 1,12: IT IS USED FOR TRIGGER SCENARY with tiles 1,10 or 1,11. In original JJ2 tilesets there are square those things, I decided to do circle one... -= Tiles 3,12-6,12: Animations for POLES, yes in this tileset poles flash :P -= Tiles 7,12-10,12: Animations for POLES -= Tiles 7,13-10,13: Animations for POLES -= Tile 7,15: Chain for hook -= Tile 7,16: Hook! -= Tiles 9,19-10,19: corners which connects flat surface for walking (height=1) with left end of ground -= Tile 1,20-1,27 & 2,20-2,27 & 3,20-3,27: ANIMATED TILES, BELTS. If you will start animating from the top tile you will get RIGHT BELT. Animating from bottom tile will give you LEFT BELT. -= Tiles 4,24-4,26: JJ2 blocks covered with Lava. -= Tiles 1,37-3,37 & 8,37: tiles need to be put in layer 3 with the period between theme of 2 tiles if used for big lava Barrel (yellow one). -= Tiles 3,42-8,42: animation of bubbling in lava for lava container which starts at 4,20-6,20 -= Tiles 1,67-6,67: tiles used for destruction animation in destruction scenary. -= Tiles 9,69 & 8,71-9,71 & 8,72-9,72: Glass tiles, must be translucent. -= Tile 10,80: background tile dark -can be used in layer 5 as fill of some grounds spots. You can see it in example levels. =========================================================================== ======== Dont know if this "Dictionary" has any sense at all but I hope it can help you to use my tilesets fast.
