OOOOO LLL CCCCCCCCC OOOOOOOOO LLL CCCCC CCCC OOOO OOOO LLL CCCCC CCCC OOOO OOOO LLL CCCCC OOOO OOOO LLL CCCCC OOOO OOOO LLL CCCCC CCCC OOOOOOOOO LLLLLLLLL CCCCC CCCC OOOOOOO LLLLLLLLL CCCCCCCCCC ---------------------------------------------- 2k5! ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- Charnel Keep is made by Blackraptor of OLC Copyright (c) 2005 Feel free to distribute and host the level, as long as the original creator still gets credit for it. ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- This level is the proud winner of FireSworD's Remake Competition (Especially because of the money reward FS promised to the winner ;P) ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- Comments: No betatesters, and mostly made in two days (both were the deadline dates for the competition, but the first was the date which the deadline was postponed to a later date). This was made pretty quickly, and I'm surprised no bugs have been brought to light since I was the only one who tested it by simply running through the level. Yes, I'm aware that I took a lazy shortcut in making level be symmetrical, but i've already stated my reasons for doing that in the remake thread ---------------------------------------------- (http://www.jazz2online.com/jcf/showthread.php?t=13786) ---------------------------------------------- If you can't tell, this is a remake of the overhosted and well-known Battle 1. Its more inspired by the level than a remake of it, though, as the level looks very different then what its a remake of, and I just took several parts from Battle 1 and incorporated them somewhere in the level making it more of a normal level with scattered remnants of Battle 1 seen in places (You should be able to easily tell where these remnants lie, and if not then you're either very unobservant or I did a poor job in incorporating them into the level). ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- 2005 hadn't been as much an active year in terms of levelmaking for me. I started it off pretty well with The Team Fortress (although this was a very old level) and The Corsair's Coast, but then I didn't release stuff for a while. I had a lot of big projects planned, but big projects tend to get never released or released several years later, and it was only on a very sudden burst of inspiration and quick work of about 2 days that Pinball Arena 2k5 (PA2k5) was finished and released. After that, I worked on a few more projects with some members of the community (planned for Christmas) but they were dropped (One of these was a planned Treasure pack with FireSworD and myself, but i got too lazy with completing my level and FS released his, Coral Coves, seperately. I have a feeling that 2006 would be a much less active year than 2005 even, but hopefully I'll release at least -something- next year, if not on J2O then elsewhere. Sorry guys, but I'm definately not as active in JCS as I used to be. ---------------------------------------------- Other Stuff: ---------------------------------------------- Thanks to LabratKid (Lark) for betatesting (he did this AFTER the level was submitted into, and won FS's remake competition) Music is by LizardKing, and was found and incorporated into the level pretty fast. Tileset (Original) is by Epic (Castle) and the remake of it which I used for this level is made by BlurredD. ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- Special Thanks: ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- Violet (Didn't really do enough to betatest, but quickly looked over the level) FireSworD BlurredD Cooba R3ptile Labratkid/Lark Sonyk ---------------------------------------------- Greetz and stuff: ---------------------------------------------- Lark FS Strato (even though he doesn't play anymore.. who cares) Cooba Sal R3p Violet ...and everyone else who feels like they should get a greetz from me =P ---------------------------------------------- Happy Holidays '05! ----------------------------------------------
