I have no idea how he’s gonna cross the road with that huge ring. Still, the people have spoken. Get on it, Violet!
Fairly mundane question this time, but I’m interested in the answer nonetheless. The downloads section has arguably always been the most important part of our site (together with the JCF), but uploads have slowed down lately. Are you still keeping up with the newest levels and tilesets?

I check the downloads quite frequently, and I download every now and then. I haven’t in a little while, though.
Funnily enough, the last JJ2 thing I downloaded is the Foo Races pack(Which is slightly corrupted; the final level is gone beyond repair), and the last thing I downloaded from J2O was the Team Foo Races pack.

I always download new music, but there’s not much of it lately. Other than that, I download tilesets and singleplayer levels if they got a particularly positive feedback. Not much of that recently, either.

Maybe sometimes you should promote an episode or a track in the news section. I’m sorry, but the interface of this website is still confusing to me when it comes to search for something to download. For example, if I want to play a good single player episode, I don’t know where to start or don’t even know how to install it. I know I can find it how somewhere, but still. Also, in order for me to download something, I’d rather read a recommendation with screenshots on the news section of the main site because that’s what I’m primarily visiting. I’m also visiting the forums, but rarely.

Also, while I’m onto it, increase the viewable area horizontally. Even the phones now have full hd resolution and everything looks too tiny on big screens. Increase the font size of the menus. One registration for the forum and for the news section. These are the first things that came to my mind, but there’s so much more that needs to be improved or updated here…

Most of your points are valid but at the end of the day someone would have to be the one to make these changes to the site and no one has stepped up so far (I’m a decent coder, but I’m less proficient at designing a layout).
As for good single player episodes: the downloads index makes it easy to filter for Single Player uploads only and sort them by date via the filter fields at the top of the page, would that work?

I download mainly Single Player levels and episodes and occasionally a multiplayer release if friends and clan members ask for it.
For the site layout, well, the current layout hasn’t bothered me at any point in time. I’ve always been using square aspect screens as my main display for the sole reason of playing older games in true fullscreen. And on my mobile phone I rarely use mobile layouts anyway for sites that offer them. I’ve forced my browser to use desktop versions and then just zoom in on text I want to read.
