Ragnarok’s newest accomplishment in the Race genre is coming to you in lighting speed! Lost Luggage Landfill, while not exactly a landfill and not much luggage is around, it still manages to be a surprisingly refreshing Battleships themed level, featuring some fairly interesting motifs spread fairly across the level.
What makes this level tick is the way it plays, though. While the premise of following a fixed route is there, the players are aided with the multitude of secrets and shortcuts that can be used to gain advantage over others. It makes you keep on your toes because you don’t know if you won’t get owned by a surprise player from behind!

that sounded like a really bad advertisement, no offense.

Heh.
Shrooblord on 3 Sep 2008 at 10:45
I didn`t think it sounded like it was really bad…
BTW:
Ragnarok? HERE? If I`m not mistaken you also take part in the GMC? You give good advice if you and that guy are the same person…
Ragnarok! on 3 Sep 2008 at 11:46
Hello, just clarify what the GMC is for me o.0
Shrooblord on 3 Sep 2008 at 11:47
Well, if you don`t know it by name then I guess your not the same guy. Game Maker Comunity.

You always late…In july download it was AUGUST now august download on September :\
Shrooblord on 3 Sep 2008 at 15:34
That`s because they wait for the end of the month. It`s more accurate, as somebody could just upload some other wicked thing at the time this review has just been posted. Which would be weird and wrong and confusing.
Ex:
July`s best download!
THIS THING.
Next day:
Oops, this is July`s best thing, it`s better.
Ragnarok! on 3 Sep 2008 at 16:52
Indeed.

I can’t even remember when I played a new race level for the last time. Probably when somebody was hosting some packs pretty often, years ago.. I’ll try your level when there’s some time left next week. :p
Shrooblord on 6 Sep 2008 at 12:25
How do you host races online? Only with xjj2? Because, there HAS 2b a way with + too, right?
cooba on 6 Sep 2008 at 12:36
Like, Treasure mode?
Shrooblord on 6 Sep 2008 at 13:11
Well, in the online host screen it sais only Battle treasure and CTF, no race. That`s what I mean.
Ragnarok! on 6 Sep 2008 at 13:31
He means you host it as treasure, that’s the only mode where you cannot take damage and die (apart from pits). If you have JJ2+, to have less annoyances you can /noblink on.
Shrooblord on 6 Sep 2008 at 13:55
ooh…whats “noblink”?
And what do you mean with “annoyances”?
Also, treasure wouldn`t really make a race, would it? Or WOULD it count the laps as points?
Ragnarok! on 6 Sep 2008 at 14:13
Well, the system is shown in the level. The laps are counted by mere triggers. Also, to start the level you’ll have to enter the room to the left of the start room (looks like a sort of box). In that (hidden) room, there will be two crates. One to lock it, the second one to initiate countdown and start the level. If you didn’t understand the /noblink on, I would suggest going to www.jazz2online.com/jj2+. It just makes you not constantly flash (and inable to hit springs) when you get shot for about 2 seconds and instead just makes you flinch and continue normally. Anyway, the 1st/2nd/3rd are counted with the gems, however lag sometimes can ruin that system. I guess that’s all I need to tell you.

Where is Featured Download September?
cooba on 24 Oct 2008 at 14:41
Crimi: No one got September’s award. It would have gone to Snooze’s tileset but it was removed from J2O as I was writing the newspost.
