Really, this was known for a long time.. And this doesn’t even mean Cliff dislikes the Jazz games, in fact, after the release of GoW1 back in 2006 he stated the name ‘Jazz Jackrabbit’ various times in interviews involving ‘past successes’ in his job.

If there will be a new Jazz Jackrabbit Epic will probably only licence it, but another company will make it. (Jaleco)

Jaleco was only the producer for the JJA game by Game Titan (who already announced that they won’t make a new Jazz game)

Wasn’t some kind of indie company making a ‘rebirth’ of the Jazz3 project? Nah it’s not like an easy thing to consider pushing good old Jazz from the shareware market to the next-gen world.. Still I’d like to see it happen.

Say, why don’t we have a petition-have everybody sign their name on it-and send it to Cliff asking him to at least work on JJ3 [if only to allow Ambesoft to do it]. I can draft it and have it ready within a day.

nakke, it wouldn’t be the first time an old series gets resurrected, though with Epic’s new focus on testosterone-fueled hulk shooters it’s unlikely they’ll be the ones to develop it.

I could imagine them licensing the franchise to another developer though, there is certainly a market for games about fluffy animals, and it would make for a decent Xbox Live Arcade game I guess.

honestly, a third jazz game would only ruin a classic series. that’s just my opinion though.

I found an article that says Cliff “seemed to imply it involved Jazz getting into trouble with the Turtle Mafia, suggesting that his concept for Jazz Jackrabbit 3 is completely different from the version Dean Dodrill was working on in 1999.”

Does anyone know what the ‘Jazz 3 Revived’ Project idea for Jazz3 is? And then what was Dean Dodrill’s idea?

Damn, guys. Jazz Jackrabbit was CliffyB’s big break… There’s no way he hates Jazz Jackrabbit. He would love to see a new Jazz Jackrabbit, but there’s no way publishers would think it was worth it.

Stijn, I didn’t mean that it would be totally impossible. But IMO it’s still far too optimistic to hope for a JJ game from Epic.

Please, Epic, give all the rights of Jazz Jackrabbit production to Naughty Dog. They will surely make it a great game and not disappoint all of the fans around the world.
