The next winter JDC season is going to start on December 20th. The website is setup and ready to go, with a new logo (courtesy Dodges) to boost. As always, remember to login/register so that the system considers you as active. BAD THINGS CAN HAPPEN IF YOU DON’T. If you’re having trouble with logging in, contact one of the admins and we’ll sort things out for you.
This will be a shorter season than usual, probably around 5 weeks long. Other than that, it should be similar to our last few seasons, including the fact that each round is worth more points than the last.
Expect more news soon, and watch out for the opening event!

wait what
a season that’s actually during BREAK?
nice!

I don’t like the list of inactive members. It prevented me from registering with my nick “William” because there was a guy who had the nick “william” long ago.
I had to register as “William RA”. Lame.
Who had the idea to post the list of inactive members?

Ron:
I suppose the list of inactive members is my idea. It’s nice for everyone to have the same username/login information each season which is why there is a list of inactive members.
At the start of every new season I mark everyone as inactive until they login.

There’s actually another reason for inactive members.
The JDC database is pretty old, so there are hundreds of accounts, maybe more than a thousand. The average season only sees around unique 100 players though. So it helps to have the userlist only show the people who are playing. The alternative would be deleting accounts, but that would just create problems.
Think of it this way: when you submit a duel, would you rather have the drop down menu only show the names of who is playing, or would you like it to show a list of 1000 names? This applies even moreso to officials adding events.
Bobby aka Dizzy on 14 Dec 2009 at 03:14
1,726 accounts. Which is a lot more than I expected.
SPAZ18 on 14 Dec 2009 at 10:10
Great! :D
Now I’ll be more active than I am now.
Vegito on 14 Dec 2009 at 15:37
Idea:
Delete the accounts that haven’t had a single log in for the past 5 years or something?
Ron97 on 14 Dec 2009 at 16:49
Yeah.
cooba on 14 Dec 2009 at 16:59
I don’t think that we need to resort to doing that..
Vegito on 14 Dec 2009 at 18:53
Same, it was just an idea. I already explained people that theres always a chance people would come back for whatever reason, heh :p
DarkSonic on 14 Dec 2009 at 19:32
Yay, 8 months and 16 days after my birthday :D
Anyway, after the last season which lasted too long for me (and I’m glad the last round wasn’t played) I’m ready for some more event action. :D
Slaz on 16 Dec 2009 at 21:50
Yay, I seriously forgot my birthday this year. :P
And I was looking forward to this since last JDC season, winter is when I have most free time for events and duels. So let’s roast a few eh.
