CliffyB: No new Jazz game in development

Cliff “CliffyB” Bleszinski, one of the developers of both Jazz Jackrabbit 1 and 2 and currently top dog at Epic Games, stated that Epic isn’t currently working on a Jazz Jackrabbit title, according to an article on news site The Examiner.
What else is new, you might ask (and rightly so), but the interesting bit came after that: he said he’d “discuss” it with Chair Entertainment, developer of XBLA game Undertow and to-be-released title Shadow Complex. Which points to a future Jazz Jackrabbit title, if it’s ever released, being an Xbox 360 game – not all that surprising considering how little Epic seems to care about the PC game market nowadays.
Anyway, it’s a tiny glimpse of hope for those still waiting for a new game in the series. Head over the The Examiner (link above) for the full article.

Jazz Jackrabbit Advance: Whitewashed from history.
Eh, you might want to check their source. It’s from an event over a year old! Because, you know…. Shadow Complex has been well released by now.
Well, that is unless their source has got their facts mixed up. Hard to check which Gearsiverse edition their talking about.

Nope, definitely from last year. Gearsiverse (their source) was held at Comic Con in 2009.
Definitely old, as I remember Cliff talking about the possibility for a Jazz game by Chair Entertainment at least over a year ago. Finished Shadow Complex on Insane + level 50 too!
By now, Cliff has stated several times again that he won’t be making a new Jazz. For example, one of his Twitter messages went like ‘For the last time, we’re not doing a new Jazz Jackrabbit.’, he does however see Jazz as his breakthrough in the game industry and gladly points out the name ‘Jazz Jackrabbit’ at many meetings, interviews, and conventions alongside Unreal and Gears of War!
Right… I did notice “26th of July” but not the year behind it. Woops :D

Does CliffyB knows about this site, JCF, JDC, jj.net ? Maybe will he think more about making new jazz if someone shows him those sites :P.

that doesnt stop the community from making thier own game hint hint heck, thats why im powerhouding through c++ hint hint < no joke. It may be a few years before i get something off the ground but you never know… Be on the lookout :D
Cliff and several JJ2 developers have posted on the JCF. If I’m not mistaken, Cliff posted to point out how Jazz Jackrabbit Advance was going over at Game Titan, but that was years ago!
I hope there will be a third Jazz Jackrbbit.
