“JazzJackrabbit.net and “the crew” is organizing a sequel to the CTF duel-tourney held last year. There will be prices for the top 3 players (specially designed T-shirts), like last time. If the player belongs to a clan, that clan will be awarded under “awards” here on jjnet. This tournament has space for a total of 48 players, and is FREE FOR ALL!
…
The previous tournament was a direct elimination-tournament, thus the draw wasn’t probably as balanced as it could be. Version 2.0 starts off with a Group Stage where players will be drawn into different groups to play versus others in the same group. Each player will get to play (x) matches minimum, and that way all players have about equal starting points. In addition the performance in the Group determines your position in the Elimination Stage.

isn’t this too late? :P

I like how JJ2 has changed. There are a lot of strong players right now. Besides the lame mappool, I’m excited to see how this tourney will come out.

well after our duel I saw your comment, and I wanna tell you, I am not a “n00bish player”. And there aren’t a lot of strong players as you think. You are just inactive, and I bet if you get a shape you will be one of the best :).
spejsboi on 23 Aug 2010 at 13:26
HAHA, okay mr. Know-All.
spejsboi on 23 Aug 2010 at 16:55
Correct me if I’m wrong but so far you’ve got 2 match losses in the tourney and I’m still unbeatable, right? So we’ll see what you can DO where it really matters, not only talk ;)

I think you’re wrong. I told you’re not weak, and I am not a n00bish player. Read my comment up-there again, maybe you missed some word or letter? I don’t understand what “Know-all” means, and what’s wrong with 2 match what I lost against PJ and Ktos? The best 2 players in my group. I played against them 1st because I wanted and they were 1st one which I saw online.

Eye for an eye, man. That’s all. ;)

Stijn: implying spaceboy isn’t entirely right?
Stijn on 24 Aug 2010 at 10:25
Not implying anything, can’t say I’m particularly up-to-date with regards to the competitive JJ2 scene.

how can i play jazz2 on the net
Jgke on 7 Sep 2010 at 16:34
Start game -> Multiplayer -> second option -> start game -> choose server -> play
If this doesn’t work, then you must unblock ports 10052-10054 (TCP, UDP) on your firewall.
