[Addendum: Our ridiculously bad hosting provider somehow managed to lose the server Jazz2Online was hosted on, meaning we could not access our webspace for a few days and couldn’t even put up a notice about what was wrong. Backups have been restored now; some content might’ve been lost. Our apologies for the downtime. ~Stijn]

Good to hear that this site is back!
So, you’ve switched the hosting for better?
Also, how does one lose a server? I know that a server can experience damage due to idiots or natural means, but losing it? I just don’t understand it…
There was a power outage, then a backup power outage, then the motherboard apparently was fried, and then the harddisks. TL;DR: they lost it.
We’ve not switched hosts, but as far as I’m concerned we will do so sooner or later (rather sooner than later, actually).
I remember more major downtimes happened under this host. It was a DNS problem last time..
I guess Wallace.
Server from Japan? :o
Yeah, really should change providers.
Is it just me, or does the site run a lot slower than usual since it broke down? On other sites, loading pages don’t take this long…
I already noticed. I ALWAYS have Jazz2Online as a third homepage.
I’ve been having some slight slowdowns too. It’s possible our host is still running on backup hardware and will need to order new components to restore past performance levels…
yeah, I thought it was just me who thought the site was slow, but now I see that I’m not alone…
