Are we still into Noogy here? Well, whatever. I’m still into Noogy and I’m the one who gets to post news about whatever I want.
As you may know, Noogy/Dean Dodrill (creator of Lori, much of TSF, the JJ2 cinematics, and some of the visuals for JJ3) has been working on a game called Dust: An Elysian Tale. Apparently it was showcased at PAX East last month, and there’s just been a nice video of it put up on Giantbomb. The video combines an interview with Noogy, where he talks about learning programming and totally sells himself short regarding how much he contributed to the Jazz series, with more footage of Dust than I’d ever seen before let alone all at once.
Noogy interview; footage of a great 2D platformer; Noogy saying that Cliffy still has his contact info and should definitely give him a ring if Epic ever wants to make another Jazz game; lots of great stuff for a four minute video!
Noogy also suggests that he’ll be starting another game when Dust is done, raising the question of what’s happening with the Elysian Tale movie, especially with those 16-hour workdays he claims to be pulling. There are still a few of us out there who’ve been missing Bonnie for a long, long time now.

I’ve been following this keenly, as I absolutely love the graphical style he’s going for. Sadly, I don’t have a 360, so I have no idea if/how I’ll manage to play it.

Can’t say I really followed the game & movie, but whenever something or someone reminded me of Noogy over the past few years, I went to his site to check how this game was going.
I don’t recall much about the movie. There was an animated short on Noogy’s old site if I remember correctly, then his site went down and nothing was heard of it again until his current site went up..?
I got an actively used 360 sitting here so I will buy this game on release. The action gameplay looks solid as well, it’s not just for Noogy’s art. Hopefully there’s not too many wayfinding involved, as I don’t like mindless roaming through a huge word without a clue where to go..

I used to be sort of interested in this about this, you know, not completely, I just thought “Meh”, but now I’m really interested. :) I hope it gets a PC release, though, because I don’t have a 360(Although I do have a wired controller for one, which I use for my PC), and I don’t get much oppertunity to play on the consoles I do have.

If you wanna make publicity to Dust, do it in other websites! This SHOULD be the Jazz Jackrabbit fansite, not the Cliff Bleszinski fan website!

We recognize that coverage of Dust is not completely in lockstep with our regular Jazz Jackrabbit coverage, and as such have made far fewer newsposts than we could have given the desire. I am sorry if the briefest mention arouses your ire. However, I feel bound to mention that Dust has absolutely nothing to do with CliffyB: it’s the brainchild of Noogy, the main artist of TSF and the animator of the JJ2 cutscenes, who continued to participate in the JJ2 community for some time after the games’ release and in fact married another community member. So if you must, think of this as community coverage.
