team chat
Team chat (often abbreviated as TC) allows players to chat between teams in Jazz Jackrabbit 2.
It is only available in CTF and custom game modes hosted as Capture, such as Team Battle and Domination. Players can bring the team chat prompt up by pressing T while holding down the Shift button. The text “Chat:” will then appear on the screen in either red or blue, depending on what team the player is in. Team chat, as its name suggests, is only sent to players who belong to the sender’s team. Those messages are recognisable by having the name of whoever sent them enclosed within box brackets.

In JJ2+, spectators are unable to receive team chat.
Some bugs may also prevent team mates from using team chat, but everything works well with JJ2+.
