Gun Fast Fire is a JCS event/pickup.
Look:
The fast-fire pickup appears in both the Jazz Jackrabbit 1 and Jazz Jackrabbit 2 games and its add-ons, but not in the Jazz Jackrabbit 3 pre-alpha demo or the Jazz Jackrabbit Advance GBA game.
By picking up a fast fire, the firing speed of all weapons except Seekers, TNT and Really Fast Missiles increases (note that with the Toaster weapon, more fire is produced instead). In Jazz Jackrabbit 2, having both a couple of fast fires and the Blaster PowerUp gives the player a very effective and powerful Blaster. The pickup looks like the playing characters gun, floating in mid-air or laying on the ground. It is one of the few pickups in Jazz Jackrabbit 2 that may appear when killing an enemy.
You can collect at the maximum, nine Fast fires. It is also possible to have a faster fire rate. You go through an extra slow shooting animation, and if you type jjfire about twenty times, the sprites start to mess up and your character starts to dance.
In the actual code of JJ2, each fast fire pickup reduces the delay by three, while typing in jjfire reduces the delay by one unit. When you start, you have a delay of +32. Nine fast fires, at -3 delay each, puts you at +5 delay, the fastest your gun can shoot without cheating. Every fastfire you collect after you reach +5 delay just resets your delay to +5. Now, you can type jjfire five more times, and get the delay down to zero, which is the absolute fastest your gun can spray bullets. If you type it sixteen more times, the delay goes to -16, which causes an extra byte to change somewhere, causing in the “Dancing Jazz” glitch.
This event has no parameters.
