Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Online

Dream Cells were items in the cancelled Jazz Jackrabbit 2 sequel, Jazz Jackrabbit 3. Dream cells would power up your current selected weapon so it did more damage or had other useful features. As of the JJ3 demo leak, there were two types of dream cells in the levels that came with the game. Other types of dream cells were programmed but not included in the levels. It is however possible to see them in the level editor that comes with the game.

Types of dream cells

• Fire Cell: This cell would make the blaster fire a red orb that would explode on impact, doing more damage than an ordinary blaster bullet. With alternate fire the orb, when fully charged, becomes an explosive fireball. The other gun featured in JJ3, the Gizmo Gun, when used with the Fire Cell, shot missles. Normal fire shot seeking missles, while alternate fire shot three missles at once, similar to RF Missles.

• Ice Cell: The ice cell, used in a blaster, shoots ice beams that were more powerful than the normal blaster shot. Alternate fire shoots a bouncing ice cube that, when it stops or hits an enemy, creates a huge ice cube that entraps anything inside it for a short time. The Gizmo Gun does not support the Ice Cell, since either the Ice Cell weapon variation for the Gizmo Gun was not programmed in yet, or the Gizmo Gun was never meant to support the Ice Cell at all.
