This is my first tileset, Circular. It is a space station where Devan Shell’s spaceships refuel and rearm. I haven’t used a 500-dollar painting program, so the tiles don’t look perfect. I’ve included a sample level to show you how to use the tiles, and the “orbitus” song from Jazz Jackrabbit 1, which is used in the example level.
Your first tileset? very good for a first!
This tileset is coloursful and has lot’s of eye candy and ships for the background, destructive/trigger blocks are very nice but the quality isn’t so good.
These is realy your first tilest Shell?
It is cinda nice for me.Example level is good too.Too bad it is so short :s
I still wonder how people make Tilesets wich are GOOD. When i start building a tileset i always stop with it, because they evrytime suck! But for someone who has build a first tileset this is kinda good. You can build much better tilesets then me :P
A nice tileset for a first one. It’s got good eyecandy such as spaceships, lifts, pruple acid, purple waterfalls and spacey stuff. You can do a lot with this tileset although not TOO much cause it’s very simple. Also, the masks aren’t very nice and you have to use layer5 to add background tiles. There are also ripped tiles from Overlord’s “Top Secret” tileset and Cell’s “Battle Ships” tileset conversion. A 6.0 and a maybe from me here…
Cheers,
White Rabbit.
A little comment about White Rabbit’s review: I have used tiles from Cell’s “Battleships”, because I didn’t intend to post this tileset at first. When I did, I forgot to ask Cell permission to use these tiles (Cell, if you read this: I’m sorry I forgot to ask, but may I use these tiles? If you don’t want me to use them, I’ll remove them from the tileset.) However, I didn’t use any tiles from “Top Secret”. Apart from the ships on the background, I have drawn all the tiles myself.
