This is a pallete edit of the original diamondus tileset. There is no new material added; this is just an edit of the pallete. This edit of the tileset is less colourful than the original. It’s not black-and-white, but the background is. Everything green is now brown (to make it look dead), and most of the tiles are blue-grey. Use this tileset if you want to make a creepy or dark-looking diamonuds level. Included are two example levels, which I ask you not to rate. Just rate the pallete edit.
I like this tileset, but I feel as if just editing the original isn’t a huge thing. And I’m not supposed to rate the excellent example levels. However, I will give this a 7 so as not to ruin a surprisingly good score. I would have liked new material, but this is very nice for a pallete edit. A great edit, but a small pallete edit nonetheless.
Hmm, all these tiles are ripped. I’m not a fan of ripped tilesets anymore. And besides, the original version was better. But like Trafton, I don’t want to harm your average rating, so I’ll keep it above a 5,5. Even though I think you should’ve drawn a tileset, and not ripped.
This is just not your work, and it’s overrated. You can’t get higher than a 6 for this if you ask me, since it’s just a big ripoff, and besides, the pallete itself isn’t very good either.. I like the ground tiles, but the grey background is ugly. Sorry, no download recommedation. Try again, with better colors :) [This review has been edited by CraccoBoy]
I don’t think I could rate this. I like it though.
You know what Mike?
Post that whole story which you explained us in your server ‘how-to-edit’ a tileset as a article on j2o. =)
Finally! I wondered when you were going to release this.
hellow
ehh that lvl (diamond warzone) only in a other color and by that warzone do a other music this music is not so cool by your gray and white color tileset
Nice colorless level, kind of useful though. But its not a big deal just to change the colours of a level.
I don’t really like this. I don’t know any use for it. No rating.
I really think this is a good tileset to make a single player episode with. A brilliant idea demonstrated by EvilMike.
applause
I like this, but don’t review an edited tileset.
…
The second Example level is EvilMike209, The Marshland Of Evil! No Diamondus, i think..[This review has been edited by Taz]
Im not going to rate this, but i think it should be downloaded, so ill give it a 9. Cool idea though. Could you do it with the other epic tilesets?
Hmm… very good. It has a nice atmosphere and is well converted. IT reminds me of another conversion of diamondus called the blair witch tileset.
I like the conversion, it could be used for some wierd time freeze si fi situation.
Originalty:N/a Its a conversion
Uses: 5 lvls max
A seven is perfect.
Sorry but i dont like these colours at all.
(Sorry but i dont like this rating at all. Removed. -Trafton)[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]
I should go wash my mouth out with soap.
EvilMike: Review edit. Do not post reviews like this again. The score you gave me is acceptable, but the content of your review was not.[This review has been edited by EvilMike]
Why are there ratings like 9.2, 8.2 and 7.0? It’s just a pointless palette edit!
This conversion has a sort of spooky, dead, dreary theme of Diamondus. All the colours have been changed to really boring shades of greys, browns and purples. The BG stuff is completly black and white, making it look dull and boring. The grassy stuff has been changed to a yucky shade of pale green/brown. The soil is now a very pale shade of purple, which doesn’t appeal to me either. You should of used more/better colours. Nothing has been changed on the technical side; everything still has the same flaws. The only new thing are 3 tiles saying: “Tileset by Evilmike”.
This set is actually worse than the original Diamondus. I suggest you don’t make any more conversions and make some really good SP levels instead.
