I know, this is stupid, very stupid. Reminds me of Stupid CTF ;)
Haha, now it reminds me of that duel Wakeman and I had in the level. Not very friendly for laggers (wait 5 seconds before flag gets picked up) but it was still mucho fun. Anyways, that’s not the point. I was totally out of ideas for a CTF level and then made this one for a hope that I would actually have something that’s fun. Who knows, maybe this level will teach people to set their priorities right. FLAG COMES FIRST!! Wonderful powerup and ammo comes with shield (you’re not allowed to use in the first place) is second.
Aha. Interesting. Well, whatever…
No matter if the author finds it stupid or not, it uses one of my favourite J2 tilesets (hard to work with btw). The design of the map isn’t that bad actually except the one or two minor tile placement bugs i found. Probably, most people will find the powerups and the full energy carrot annoying. Furthermore, the eyecandy is average.
And the base placement made me say "Hmmmmm" :-)
I don’t know, i’ll have to wait for the reviews of the CTF freaks here. Maybe i’ll change my rating (+/- 1 point max.).
Mmm, a nice open CTF. This may be “stupid” but I actually like it, the layout/most of the event placement was good. Eye candy was okay but could have been improved. There was also lack of one whens when they were needed (common mistake in the tileset)
The base placement was evil though. :-)
OVERALL: An above average level, barely worth your d/l.
Good design and eye candy, nice ammo placement, nice open area, blah, blah. But the reason this level got a 6, is POOR base placement… The bases are basicly right next to each other. And only one start location (I think).
Anyway, the bases are right next to each other, a 2 second base path from each other. Well, if it’s just one, it can make it near inposable to score.
This download is worth giving you a good example on how to make good design, NOT gameplay.
If ur as bored as me you would understand…
Lemme just get that start position thing right. It is the only single player start position, the rest are multiplayer and you can only start at them if you are in multiplayer mode. Somehting you should understand with all my levels.
I just smacked in the one single player start so you can actually quick test the level without having to go into multiplayer or gettign stuck in the top left corner ;)
