This is one of the weirdest levels I’ve seen. Play it in JJ2, you’ll see there are some stuff. Try to edit it in JCS, you’ll see there are no events!!! Go into Tools Level Properties to see how i did it :)
Error
[Don’t rate an upload if you can’t run it. ~Violet]
Thats right, a 1. The lowest rating possible. And this is the first level to get it. All 3 times I played this level it gave me an access violation and I had to restart windows because the error window would not go away no matter what I did.
Sorry Mike but I think you went a little overboard. It works fine here. And I think allan only wanted to show us his strange stuff.
Huh? This is generating some nice Access Violations (my PC crashed!).
Return to sender please.
Two skeleton monsters and a crate on a 2×8 layer 4, way boring really.
I’m not sure I even want to download it.. my computer is too messed up already :P
Why give it a 10 then?
Weird how it generates an access violation for most of us. It happened to me too.
Please dont mess up ratings, FoD.
F quist, Cheeze and Bobby worked hard to get this great rating sytem finished.
Thank you in advance.
Theres nothing good about this one folks. Except a nice new idea but
getting people to play within such a small space should be avoided.
Two points for orignality…
I’m not messing with the ratings, I’m trying to make allan feel better. Seems like all we get around here is negative reviews. Can’t you guys look for the good in things?!!?!?!?
(There are other ways of making new level makers feel better than to give them unfair ratings. I recommend you figure some out before reviewing any more levels such as this. -Trafton)[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]
When teaching new things and ideas to other fans, you should make it more interesting, and more explorable, in a sense. A small level like that does not do very well for the example, but the "3" is the credit for finding it out for yourself and showing others how to do it. This may be the most positive review for this level, that can be looked at. The bottom line: Good job. You’re giving ideas to other JJ2 fans, which is a good thing. You’re just not taking any examples for others to follow, to a high level.
~ Derby
So the purpose of this site is to make people feel better?
I would like to know the webmasters opinion on that. However, i thought this was
for rating levels/tilesets/etc..
I agree with Derby. His review made the most sense here. That’s why i love/hate this system….there are the few that make wonderful reviews, like Derby, and than the people that tend to throw things off and screw up the ratings.
Not that it only occurs here, but everywhere. So when you rate, please don’t have a bias, and vote truthfully and how you truely feel about the level.
Oh, and i wonder how FoD rated twice….gotta look at Fquist’s coding.
But as for you comment, Aiko, well, i’m not sure exactly what i want out of this site. A good downlaods system, private messeges, nice info, or whatever. But what i think this site should be is whatever you want it to be. This is based around user input, like the review system, for example. It relies on everyone’s input, not just a stand-alone person (not only that, we don’t have to go around rating levels. hehe. ;-P). And whatever anyone wants, we will try to provide it here and get it done. In facr, i’m working on a few things from user input. Well, not much as of yet, but it’ll only get better if you tell us what you want. If we guess at what you want, then it won’t necissarily be what you want.
So, the purpose of this site is whatever you want it to be.
~Cheeze
Agreed Cheeze, but every system that lets people participate needs some basic rules.
For example…
- you are not allowed to rate a level twice
- you are not allowed to give ratings without any sense and/or without giving any proper reasons
By the way: i actually did send you a list of suggestions for the site. But you didnt answer.
P.S.: J2O rules.
oh yeah, btw ppl, there is a way to get out of that irritating "access violation" that happens every so once in a while.. simply press the end task and then VERY quickly do a 3-finger salute (ctrl-alt-del)… if u do it right, jazz2 will be one of the tasks u can tell windows to kill.. :) umm, this assumes you don’t have a Pentium 10 4000… in which case ur gonna havetae be flash to get this right.. hehehe..
Sometimes it works for me if i just press end task really really fast.
I was on vacation, so i didn’t have time to make a function that limits the number of ratings. Something like this will be done soon.
(Unsupported rating removal. -Trafton)[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]
you are right its weird no matter what the other guys say its weird the are even tiles when you play it that arent even in the tilest.
(Not only do I have no idea what you are talking about, but your rating also makes no sense. Therefore, I will remove it. -Trafton)[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]
Alright, so this is a level using a fairly little-known method of making certain layers smaller so the contents of the level are randomly generated by Jazz Jackrabbit 2. Weird, indeed. But what is even is weirder is why the author chose to upload this. Also, a more proper description should be in order. This level causes an access violation almost every time it is ran for most people. For those who are able to get it to work, it is not much more interesting. While the idea of a new JJ2 concept is interesting, it certainally gets old quick. Pure novelty, indeed. No download recommendation at all.[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]
