Level Packer v1.4.3 – Easy to use level packer
This is a little utility I made to collect tileset and music files for specified level in a separate folder (now in ZIP archives), instead of finding them manually with JCS.
You drag and drop the levels on it and it will look for the tileset and music files in the paths you specified in the ini file. Then you will have to set a archive name to copy them too, and then it open a window with that archive selected.
Also added a feature to read from the LevelList.ini
Now can you choose to only output all files, music only or levels and tilesets only.
Thanks to Stijn for the PHP J2L reader.
The program is made in PHP and is compiled with Bambalam Compiler. PHP version 4.4.4
This is the first program I’ve made in PHP.
Please read the Readme before usage!
Changes:
-bugfix in the LevelList.ini scan (found by DanZeal)
-bugfix where modification dates got truncated
-changed compression level, maybe smaller files?
-added version and name for levels
-added ZIP support
-added ini support
-bugfix overwrite function
-added version and name for tilesets
-added support for reading “next levels”, not fully tested, experimental!!
-bugfix, now multiple use of tilesets and music bug is fixed! hopefully!
-added the feature to drop LevelList.ini (idea by DanZeal)
-added feature to choose that type to output, for example only music files
If you find any bugs please post them here.
Edit: Now the source is included!
@Violet: I had no idea about PackPacker, sorry. I see this is program much easier to use than PackPacker.

A solid program, simple yet performs it’s tasks very well. Definately does save time finding all tilesets/music to go with levels when compiling a pack, and is a nice thing for anyone to have.
Not bad tool, sometimes if i will need to find a tileset for a level with password or I will just want to see what music is used in that level this tool can help me. And ofc, thats really nice that i can copy some levels to other file. Gj anyway.
Does the job perfectly.
I realy love the levellist function, makes it so much easier for me to update the ZA/ZE music file.
Nice and useful tool, god work / bra gjort, Dan :D
Nice :D
If theres 2 same programs, then you should always use the one what is more user-friendly. grats :)
Good work Dany.Hope it will have a newer version soon:D
Hi,there is just ONE bug…..can u plz make it to where its as simple as copy-and-paste bcuz it takes 2 hours to do it bcuz my jj2 folder is SO big.
As already stated, there is another utility, “PackPacker”, that can also automatically pack levels, music and their tilesets into a zip archive. So what does this utility offer?
The Main thing this packer offers is user-friendliness. whereas Packpacker requires you to go into command prompt and enter a large string of commands. With Levelpacker, you drag and drop the level onto the app, specify a .zip name, and it does the rest.
(edit: The bugs I have mentioned have been fixed, so I have removed my comments about it =D )
The packer works beautifully, packing both tilesets and music, making your levels look professional. The ability to limit the packer to one level is interesting. I cannot imagine a use for it myself, but it is nice to have.
the ultimate improvement I would like to see to this system would be a GUI that lets you see a list of the files and the ability include/exclude files into the zip before you pack, similar to CD Burner applications.
overall, I must say that this is actually a improvement over PackPacker, and this is a tool all level creators should not be without.
Level Packer v1.4.3
So i finally decided to edit my review. And i wanna make again it large. Yes this is best program in level packing and he can’t do all things possible. So is great because I can drag levels in levelpacker.exe and it’s easy and thenI select the name of zip and after this, the zip will be saved everywhere in your computer. This best program i saw this month. But unfotunately, djazz did stoped making new levelpacker version but this not matters.Us use this levelpacker because is too easy to pack level+music+Tileset in one .zip file and is very easy to upload them on jazz2online.I don’t have words to do in this thing. Is very useful program which i gethighest rating and i’m proud to do it ~This review has been edited by StarLORDVery useful.10 out of 10
