A general inquiry to everyone: Should entries for sites on this wiki be on the wiki in articles called after their abbreviations? I made the Fansites entry, but I seem to have called all sites after their full names except a few like JDC, JCF and the JMMB. These sites are all sites more often referred to by their acronyms than their full name, which might warrant such a title, but it would be more consistent to have full names. (I would add that if that’s true this is my fault, not this entries’ creator’s) Anyone agree? ~Fquist
I think it’s better to not use other site’s materials but try to create entries with our own content, since this is an encyclopedia. If you want to include other sites’ information, you could quote parts of it using the bq. textile tag if really necessary.. but it seems more appropiate to write something of our own. Give it a try, you might goof up and make some mistakes in the beginning but it’ll turn out fine if you don’t give up, trust me. Consult ERE: Six things you should know about ERE for some more information about contributing if you want to start off. The JDC info page can be used as reference material, of course, and be linked to. ~Fquist
Hmmm..I’m sorry, I just thought that it would be much more accurate to copy and paste it to the wiki. I’ll fix it sometime. ~NeonPSY
Sure. I’m going to delete the copy and paste in the meantime then, and try to expand the entry a bit, feel free to help. It may be more accurate to copy and paste, but what’s the fun in that. The fun part about this is the working on articles together ;-) ~Fquist
