This wiki has its own special syntax to use to control its features. This entry should describe all syntax.
To create a link, put the keyword you want to link into brackets, like this: Jazz Jackrabbit 2. This will create a link like: Jazz Jackrabbit 2.
For links that have a description that does not match the entry title that is linked to, use the pipe like this: Jazz Jackrabbit 2
You can add links to places outside the wiki, other sites for example, by using a URL in the target part of a link. For example, a link to Google would look like this: http://www.google.com. This would turn into: We love google. The red underline of the link designates a link that links to an area outside the wiki.
To link to J2O nodes, you can use the Node: j2oRules syntax. Example: This links to the J2O Rules.
To create headers in an entry, put them between two equal signs, like this: ==Markup and special features==. This will automatically generate a header, and a table of contents at the top of the entry. To use subheaders, type three equal signs: use === instead of ==.
To place the table of contents of an entry (which shows up if there’s more than one header) on another location than the default one, use the tag.
To have a page automatically redirect the user to another page, use the #REDIRECT command. The syntax is like this: #REDIRECT Name for article to redirect to.
Click here for an example redirect page with the redirect turned off.
Using ~ ~ ~ (without spaces), you can sign your name on somewhere. This is useful on discussion pages. Example: ~French
A stub is a wiki entry that has very little information still and should be expanded a lot.
Using , you can assign the Stub attribute to an entry. This attribute puts the entry into the Stubs category.
If only one section is a stub, use to display a notice that the section needs more working on. The notice will look like this (in black):
Using an entry is assigned the disambiguation attribute, which means that the entry’s name is ambiguous and that the name might mean multiple things. A disambiguation page should link to the separate pages for the different definitions a name might have. For example, the name CC might point either to the popular Cracco Clan or to the Christmas Chronicles add-on for Jazz Jackrabbit 2. Thus, CC is a disambiguation page. It’s a good example of a case when it’s needed. The notice will look like this (in black):
For all non-wiki-related markup, the general markup system J2O uses, Textile, is used. You can view the help for that at the text formatting page.
