Jazz Jackrabbit
Jazz Jackrabbit is a green rabbit and the more serious brother of Spaz Jackrabbit and Lori Jackrabbit. He comes from the planet Carrotus, and is usually referred to as Jazz. Jazz is the protagonist of the Jazz Jackrabbit series, and has appeared in every Jazz Jackrabbit game so far.

Special Moves
Jazz can use two special moves; with helicopter ears, he can glide over long distances. His uppercut enables him to jump extra high and deal damage to everything he hits while jumping.

Jazz Jackrabbit 1
Jazz was first seen in the 1994 game Jazz Jackrabbit 1, a game which would eventually get two expansion packs, both called Holiday Hare and featuring 3 more levels in a Christmas theme. Jazz had no special moves in this game.
Jazz Jackrabbit 2
In Jazz Jackrabbit 2, Jazz starred as a main character along with his siblings Spaz Jackrabbit and Lori Jackrabbit (Lori only appeared in the two expansion packs, The Secret Files and Christmas Chronicles). This was the game Jazz could first use his special moves in.
Jazz Jackrabbit 3 (Demo)
In the Jazz Jackrabbit 3 demo, Jazz was the only playable character, though it would have been possible to play with Spaz or Lori in the never-released full version. Jazz’s special moves either were not programmed yet, or would never be featured in the game.
Jazz Jackrabbit Advance
In Jazz Jackrabbit Advance, Jazz got a drastic makeover. Jazz has divorced Eva Earlong and is now in love with Zoe Cottontail. Jazz loses his trusty headband and gets revamped with new clothes. Many fans of the “original” Jazz storyline argue that this isn’t the “true” Jazz, and there have been little fan stories about it (see FIX0RS TEH JAZZ JACKRABBIT!!! and the JJ2enc entry FIX0RS TEH JAZZ JACKRABBIT!!!.)

- Spaz Jackrabbit is Jazz’s brother.
- Lori Jackrabbit is Jazz’s sister.
Friends
- Eva Earlong, the princess of Carrotus, was Jazz’s love interest in Jazz Jackrabbit 1, and his wife in Jazz Jackrabbit 2.
- Zoe Cottontail is Jazz’s love interest in Jazz Jackrabbit Advance. They start going out together later in the game.
Enemies
- Devan Shell is the arch nemesis of Jazz in Jazz Jackrabbit 1, 2, and 3. He kidnaps Eva Earlong in the first game, in return for ransom and being handed the crown of Carrotus. In the second, he steals Eva’s ’24-carrot’ wedding ring and escapes into the past to destroy Jazz and Spaz before they can foil his plan. In the third game he kidnaps Jazz’s children. It is possible they are Eva’s as well, but this is not revealed in the game.
- Dark Shell is Jazz’s nemesis in Jazz Jackrabbit Advance. He kidnaps Zoe Cottontail, luring Jazz to his base.
- Queen Earlong – Though she’s Jazz’s mother-in-law, she fights him at the beginning of Jazz Jackrabbit 2.
